What AutoCuts does
AutoCuts turns videos from your camera roll into short-form reels and, if you connect an Instagram account, posts them for you after a waiting period during which you can veto them.
What we collect
- Account: your email address and a sign-in identifier (Apple, Google or email).
- Footage: the app analyses videos on your phone and sends only a small thumbnail and metadata (duration, quality, motion, labels) per clip. A video file is uploaded, compressed, only when a reel you create uses it. Uploaded clips and rendered reels are stored in Google Cloud Storage in your private space.
- Instagram: when you connect an account we store its username, ID, follower count and an access token so we can publish reels and read their performance. We never post without a reel first waiting in your queue.
- Usage: your brief, brands, topics, queue actions and basic diagnostics.
How we use it
To match your clips to templates and scripts, write captions and voiceovers, render reels, publish to the accounts you connected, and show you how they perform. AI providers (Anthropic, ElevenLabs, Voyage) process text and thumbnails to do this; they do not receive your camera roll and do not train on your data. We do not sell your data and we do not use your media to train AI models.
Instagram data
We use the Instagram API with Instagram Login for publishing and insights only. You can disconnect an account at any time in Settings; we delete its token immediately. You can delete your account and everything in it inside the app (Settings, Start over, Delete my account) or by emailing support@autocuts.app; see autocuts.app/delete. We delete within 7 days. Deauthorizing AutoCuts inside Instagram has the same effect for that account.
Retention and deletion
Your data is kept while your account exists. Delete your account in Settings or by email and all clips, reels, tokens and profile data are removed within 30 days, except records we must keep for billing.
Payments
Subscriptions are handled by Apple, Google Play and RevenueCat. Founder-program and credit-pack purchases are processed by Stripe. We never see your card details in any case.
Transactional email (purchase confirmations, account notices) and the optional newsletter are sent through Resend, which receives your email address and the content of that message. Every newsletter email includes a one-click unsubscribe link.
Your rights
You can request a copy of the data we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, at any time — see autocuts.app/delete for account deletion, or email support@autocuts.app for a data export or any other request. We respond within 30 days.
